At Tomorrow House, transportation is more than just a ride—it’s an opportunity to build confidence, independence, and connection. We provide safe, reliable transportation support to help individuals with developmental disabilities access their communities while learning the skills needed to travel independently in the future.
WHAT WE PROVIDE
Our trained staff offer a variety of transportation supports, tailored to each person’s goals and needs:
STAFF-PROVIDED TRANSPORTATION
Rides to and from medical appointments, community events, and daily outings
Grocery shopping trips, social activities, and job interviews
Transportation to Regional Center activities, employment programs, and day services
Participants are always accompanied by qualified, supportive staff trained in safety, communication, and behavioral support.
TRAVEL TRAINING & COMMUNITY INTEGRATION
We empower individuals to safely and confidently use public and community transportation options. Our travel training services include:
Teaching how to read bus schedules and use transit apps
Practicing bus, train, or light rail routes together with staff
Learning how to purchase tickets, ask for assistance, and plan ahead
Understanding safety protocols while using public transit
RIDESHARE AND ON-DEMAND OPTIONS
For participants with evolving transportation goals, we also teach:
How to safely use Uber, Lyft, and paratransit services
How to schedule a ride using a smartphone or with staff assistance
Budgeting for transportation and managing transit-related expenses

Every individual’s transportation plan is aligned with their Individualized Support Plan (ISP) or Individual Program Plan (IPP) and updated regularly based on progress and preferences.
